Spa Week Road Trip! Weekend Guide

roadtrip1Living in a big city provides a girl with a million options for what to wear, how to look, what to do, and where to eat… just like living in a Spa Week city provides a girl with the opportunity to spa like a rockstar. Put it all together, and voila: ROAD TRIP.

We’ve partnered Cozy Wallet, a site that “provides information on sales and freebies the way YouTube.com does with embarrassing videos,” to do a $100 Spa Week Gift Card “I Feel Pretty” giveaway (click here to enter!).

And to take you cross country, we’re tapping into their beauty-tipping, style-advising, trend-spotting, bargain-hunting expertise to bring you a host of get-out-the-house options (other than the spa!) in our Spa Week cities. From wine tastings to festivals, you’ll find it all here throughout the next few weeks. Our lists will be curated by Cozy Wallet… so before you run off to win the $100 gift certificate, read their ideas and lock in those weekend plans.

From their website:

From the moment you walk into the reception area with its Zen-like ambience enhanced by burnished bronze ceiling, oak floors and light sycamore walls, the air is suffused with the fragrance of Mandarin Signature aromatherapy candles. From there, it’s time to leave the real world behind you and enter a new dimension of relaxation, which begins with a private consultation and a calming, complimentary infused seasonal beverage.

An Eastern Philosophy:

The Spas at Mandarin Oriental are born out of a sincere understanding and passion for wellness, which we define as a way of life that focuses on physical, emotional and mental wellbeing. The Group is committed to delivering all aspects of wellness with integrity and honesty, providing inspiration for lifestyle change, in an environment that delights all the senses. The Spas at Mandarin Oriental are havens for contemplation and discovery. Guided by our Oriental heritage but influenced by local cultural diversity, the Group has created distinctive concepts with a unique sense of place in every location.

Try the Oriental Harmony Ritual!:
Four hands work in perfect unison in a remarkable experience that inspires a harmony of the senses. The treatment begins with a soothing foot bath in purifying waters, leaving the feet soft and supple and the mind relaxed. Next two therapists work together in time and movement. First, providing a warm scrub that smoothes and replenishes the skin and later a harmonious massage that balances the body. The treatment concludes with a simultaneous head and foot massage leaving the mind uplifted, the body energized and the skin exotically fragrant.

VAJAZZLING Is Coming To Spa Week®!

“Because Your Lady Business Should Sparkle!”

This is a headline I’ll not soon forget (see it for yourself), celebrating the fine art of Vajazzling! And it’s exactly what it sounds like… bedazzling your you-know-what with pretty little crystals.

VAJAZZLE!

A few weeks ago, Jennifer Love Hewitt announced on Lopez Tonight that she’s a Vajazzler.  Always on the pulse of all things sparkly, sexy and SEO-explosive, Bryce Gruber and the girls at The Luxury Spot helped put Vajazzle on the map, #vajazzling about town and spreading the Vajazzle spirit nationwide.

And now… Spa Week® is doing what we do best – we’re bringing it to the masses with a sweet price tag of $50! (April 12 – 18… the countdown has begun.)

We’re thrilled to welcome a brand new Washington DC spa to the Spa Week® community; the first spa to officially put Vajazzling on their Spring 2010 Spa Week® menu. It’s called… STRIPPERS.

stripperssalon

In other vajazzling news… Completely Bare on Bond Street in NYC has offered Vajazzling for $50 during Spa Week® in the past… we’re hoping they’ll do it again this Spring. Tweet them @hairremovalguru if you’d like to help campaign for 2010… and get ready to shine!

2/9 UPDATE:

Completely Bare (Bond Street and in Scarsdale locations) WILL be offering Vajazzling during Spa Week® Spring 2010! $50 that week, regularly $115

But… and something Spa Week will NOT be offering? Clitter.
