Sometimes college students get a bad rep these days (especially around the time when The Princeton Review publishes its top party schools list). But let’s give credit where credit is due – college students work hard, and they handle a lot between a heavy class load, extracurricular activities and attempting to maintain a social life. By now, the college semester is in full swing, and as many of us know from experience, the stress is definitely starting to pile on.
Fall Spa Week takes place from October 15-21 this year, which means it falls right in the middle of midterms time for most universities. College students could definitely use some relief from the endless days of office hours and nights filled with energy drinks and no sleep. Luckily, Spa Week takes place in some of our favorite college towns – so even for the student on a tight budget, just sit tight… relaxation is in sight!
So be a good sport and book a treatment for your son, daughter, niece, nephew or friend (or yourself, if you’re the student!) — and reward someone for her hard work:

This full body Hot Bamboo Massage, brand new at CURE, is a tranquil fusion of hands on massage and heated bamboo application. The bamboo is rolled and massaged in areas of tension to release stress from the body. Warm oil is used to nourish parched winter skin and the pressure is tailored to fit your preference. Hot bamboo massage is an ancient Chinese technique that promotes circulation, sensory nerve perception, and lymphatic drainage, providing a deep sense of relaxation and well-being.
Pop the bubbly! In CURE’s Champagne Facial, a yeast extract of French champagne nourishes and stimulates the skin. The extract helps guard against free radical damage from environmental toxins, while leaving your skin with an effervescent glow. The treatment also includes a hand and foot massage. Cheers to that!
Dying for a long, delicious, post-holiday massage to really WOW you? Based on a holistic approach, this 80 minute treatment uses shiatsu techniques and hot stone massage to balance and stimulate Qi (the flow of energy) and to relax mind and body.

Today isn’t just 11/11/11, it’s Veteran’s Day, a day for us to thank the servicemen and women of this country. Our small tokens of gratitude are incomparable to the sacrifices they’ve made for us. So be sure to take the time to say “thank you” and let them know you are grateful.
