How will you welcome the warm weather? And you better not say spring cleaning! Keeping Up with the Huxtables posted a list of their top 10 ways to “keep up” and enhance your look for the spring.

Among her ideas I know which ones I’ll definitely get to (“10. Take me time so that you are relaxed. Stress causes break outs on your skin, wrinkles, and bags under your eyes from lack of sleep. You do not want stress to effect how beautiful you are!”) and, due to my geographical relocation, probably won’t be keeping up with (“8. Tanned. Add a little color to your life, leaving you glowing for the world to see.”)

But my favorite of course is “4. Spa treatment. Taking a spa day is always relaxing for the mind, body, and soul.” I couldn’t agree more. When your body feels refreshed, everything else will follow!

Arguably, New Jersey folks have got New Yorkers beat when it comes to state pride. From sports games to bars to strangers in passing (alright that one may be an exaggeration), I have seen NJ-ers defend the Dirty Jerz through and through.

Then there’s that confusing North and South divide but as a West Coast transplant, I know better than to put in my two cents. So New Jersey, I say let’s all relax. And do it at the following Spring Spa Week participants. (more…)

A new season is a great time to try out a new look. Makeup artists on the runway and off are moving towards a brighter, less sallow aesthetic (hooray!). Luckily pale pinks, greys and shimmery nudes are popping up in Spring makeup collections such as Armani and Dior. What’s great about this palette is that you can go all the way — blush, eyeshadow, lip — or go for a subtler effect by concentrating on one area, and still look fresh.
