Bath and body brand Thymes asked me to share some tips for creating a relaxing spa experience at home. If you haven’t been sleeping well, have a thousand things on your mind, or just need to take a little time to clear your head this week, this is for you. All you need is 10-15 minutes once a week to revive.
Click here to read the full article on Thymes’ website, or check out the abbreviated tips below:
1. Find a place in your home that you feel totally relaxed in, and clear away all clutter so that it’s free of distractions (magazines, books, that pile of mail you have yet to go through…).
2. Turn off/dim the lights and silence your cell phone.
3. Choose a scented candle to light that reminds you of the spa. One of my favorites is Thymes Eucalyptus (with lemongrass, bergamot, and other calming oils).
4. Relax with a face mask and/or gel eye mask for 10 minutes. Tip: Keep them chilled in the fridge for puffiness relief.
Another idea: Host a few friends for a spa night in. Get more details, plus a homemade lemon sugar body scrub recipe here.
