If you’re headed on vacation, there’s a lot to do before you dash to the airport or train station. You’ve got to arrange to leave work, take care of household chores, get a neighbor to pick up your mail, call your bank and cell phone company…just making your to-do list leaves you feeling like you need a vacation!
Whatever you do, make sure you incorporate our vacation spa timeline into your to-do list. We tell you exactly what appointments to make before, during, and after your trip to enhance your relaxation and keep the vacation good vibrations going long after you return home.
Before you leave:
You’ll want to head off to your vacation freshly groomed – so a few days before you leave, make your waxing appointments. The day before you go, get a manicure and pedicure - you’ll look freshly groomed and the professional touch ensures you won’t have to put up with chips.

First day:
When you get where you’re headed and wake up for your first official day of vacation, you’ll want to slip over to the spa for a massage. If you’re going on a two or three week vacation, you have plenty of time to transition into relaxation, but if you have just a few days or a week, you’ll want to maximize your time immediately. Getting a massage the morning of your first day will help you switch to vacation mode pronto. BONUS: Add a Vichy Shower to your massage for an even more thorough vacation transformation.
Mid-trip:
Since we hope you’re not baking for real on your trip, we understand the desire to take a little fake glow home with you. Mid-vacation, pop in for a quick spray tan – you’ll look bronzed and carefree for the remainder of your trip, and you’ll take a little glow home with you.
Last day:
Bookend your vacation by indulging in a cleansing facial on your last day. The facial will help heal windburn, banish sun and heat damage, and clear pores clogged with makeup and sunscreen,. You’ll head home with a fresh glow on the outside to match your vacay glow inside!
When you get home:
To ward off post-vacation blues, and to properly exfoliate any peeling, schedule a body scrub for a few days after you return to the grind. It’ll give you a little something to look forward to as you hit the ground running, and as you lie down on the table for the treatment, you can close your eyes and drift away to thoughts of your perfect time away…
