Little Luxury Report: Light Radiance Anti-Perspirant/Deodorant by Dove

The Little Luxury: Light Radiance Anti-perspirant/Deodorant by Dove

Relationship Status: We’ve been going steady (well, the deodorant has been going steadily on my armpits) for the past 4 months. I couldn’t ask for a better, healthier relationship—it is always dependable and never lets me down.

Taboo? While underarms are typically one of those subjects not many of us want to discuss, I’m venturing out of my comfort zone. After all, this deo is a daily must when it comes to my beauty routine. Not that I can honestly ever remember leaving the house without it (or that I would admit to it, if I had), but this little gem is the only thing I use on my sensitive underarms.

Very scentsible: It’s not too flowery, not too powder-room, not too fruity, not too in-your-face fresh, and not too strong. Light Radiance is floral and woody containing apricot and citrus fragrance notes. It’s deliciously perfect!

Smoother than a baby’s bottom? Why yes—did you know that shaving reduces the top layer of skin by 20%? Ouch! This little luxury helps replenish my delicate underarm skin and soothes shaving irritation, leaving me with oh so smooth and sleeveless-ready underarms!

A new way to experiment with deodorant: Depending on whether you shower in the morning or night, applying this in the P.M. can help make this product even more effective, according to Dr. Debra Luftman, Los Angeles based dermatologist and Dove Deodorant spokesperson. This is because our body temperature is typically warmer while we are catching those zzz’s – which allows the pores to open and absorb the active ingredients in the deodorant. The outcome: effective, smooth underarms AND one less thing to worry about when you’re running out of the house in the morning.

Spa Week Media Party: Pictures, Party Guests & The PitiCure™

group-shot

Last night, over 400 guests joined us to celebrate the launch of the 12th bi-annual Spa Week®.

At the Prince George Ballroom in New York City, indulgence and wellness was the spirit of the evening at the Spa Week Media Party. The evening featured relaxing spa treatment cabanas, “make-unders” by Bare Escentuals, Vibrant Rioja wines of every variety, a decadent 3-tiered chocolate fountain with any food you could ever imagine dipping into chocolate, and a host of other indulgences. And the centerpiece of the evening that kept everyone talking (and feeling squeaky clean): The PitiCure™, the official spa treatment of Spa Week 2010, created by Dove Deodorant. And then of course there were those legendary Spa Week gift bags… In a perfect world we would have had a bag for everyone, but that’s why we have our Monthly Beauty Giveaways for you also.

For the first time ever, we live-streamed the entire night. From giant chocolate covered strawberries and live PitiCures™ to interviews with party guests, men who claim that men need the spa more than women, and the force behind fashion’s beloved DailyFrontRow.com… watch the Spa Week Daily UStream Video Log for everything we recorded live. Here’s a sampling:

Also, check out all the party photos on Guest of A Guest and some more on Socially Superlative.
