Celebrity Spa Arrest: Ted Williams, The Homeless Man With the Golden Voice

Celebrity Suspect: Ted Williams, The Homeless Man With the Golden Voice

Case: Less than 48 hours ago, Ted Williams was your typical homeless man trolling the cold highways in Ohio, but unlike the others he had a gift. He carried a sign which said it all — he had a voice fit for the radio business. The photographer from the Columbia Dispatch filmed him doing unbelievable sample voice overs for radio and tv. Today he stands as a man with multiple offers, including a brand new home and a full time voice over gig with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Spa Treatment Sentencing: We hear that the native Brooklynite is on his way to New York City to be reunited with his mother whom he hasn’t seen in over 20 years and for more meetings. After decades of living on the street and becoming a celebrity literally overnight, we need to get him up to speed with a complete spa day. For proving that with a lot of hope and a little luck dreams can come true, we are sentencing Ted Williams to a 60 Minute Massage and European Facial, followed by a Manicure and Pedicure, only $50 each at Spa West in Westlake, Ohio in our spa deals.

The original clip that changed this man’s life had over 11 million views but just moments ago got taken down due to a legal matter (come ON!) but you can watch his CBS interview HERE.

5 Almost Free Things To Do This Weekend 09.02.10

So you packed your summer out, and just realized that Labor Day came out of nowhere!  Don’t worry – you can still get one more weekend of relaxation in.

Miss Cozy’s Tip of the Day: Labor Day was actually intended as a day of rest, so before you head to the beach or a BBQ, try to sleep in this weekend.  Recent studies have shown that catching up on your sleep can help reverse the effects of sleep deprivation. Getting enough sleep also helps you look more refreshed by reducing dark circles, under-eye puffiness, and bloodshot eyes.

(Check out CozyWallet.com for swank ways to save money and look good doing it)

If you have the chance, try to stop by one of these great events this weekend, brought to you by Miss Cozy:

Atlanta, Georgia – Have you looked at today’s date??  Its 9-02-10!  It shouldn’t go unnoticed!  So SweetWater Brewery has created a 90′s themed event to celebrate.  Hosted by Metromix and SweetWater, tonight the Peach Pit comes to Atlanta for an all out 90′s bash - to celebrate America’s favorite past time: 90210!  Go big or go home and dress up like Kelly, Steve, David, Donna, Brandon, Dylan, Valerie or Andrea, because everyone in costume will receive half off their entrance fee.  (You must be 21+ – Entrance is $8)  The theme is original 90210, so the more 90′s the better: Jean jackets, gelled hair and mini dresses are not only appropriate, they are highly encouraged.  Get some SweetWater goodies for the best dressed and best looking couple.  SweetWater Brewery is located at 195 Ottley Drive Northeast – Atlanta. 5 Free/Almost Free Things to Do This Weekend

Is it just us, or are these summer weeks flying by? Hopefully you’re still joining us on our Almost Free City Travels, courtesy of Miss Cozy. (Check out CozyWallet.com for more swank ways to save money.)

Miss Cozy’s Beauty Tip: How are those footsies doing? At the end of every shower use the pumice stone to soften your soles. Also, try to apply lotion at night, because creams and oils attract dirt – wouldn’t want that to happen as soon as you walk out the door in the am.

If you have the chance, try to stop by one of these great events this weekend:

Denver, CO – Denver’s City Park hosts free jazz concerts from June 6 – August 8, 2010 and every Sunday at 6 pm. The park fills up with picnickers and jazz aficionados, gathering around the bandstand near Ferril Lake. Some concerts are also held on the lawn near the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. This Sunday, July 18th at 6pm enjoy a performance by Rekha Odal, an artist born in India who moved to America and started her career by playing the piano. A few words of advice, bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on to get the best experience. Some food vendors usually set up shop near the concerts in case you want to grab a bite. Parking is free in City Park, but it’s recommended to arrive early and find a space near the concert venues.

Los Angeles, CA – Stop by the Orange County Fair, which runs Wednesday through Sundays, July 16 until August 15 at the OC Fair and Event Center. Enjoy a fun filled day of concerts, a carnival, bull riding, Lucha Libre Mexican wrestling, Orange County Police Canine Show, Ice Museum and more! Visit OCFair.com for more information.

Orlando, FL – This summer Lake Eola will rock like never before! The Rockin’ Lake Eola concert series runs every Saturday until September 3 from 3pm until 11pm. While listening to the live entertainment enjoy some of your favorite local vendors and restaurants. With a wide range of talent, Rockin’ Lake Eola is fun for all. New Orleans, LA – On the occasion of his 176th birthday, on July 19th 2010 from 5pm – 9pm – the Edgar Degas Foundation invites you to come celebrate.
