Fruit and wine enthusiasts unite – today, December 20th, is National Sangria Day! We didn’t know it existed either, but what a holiday this will be.
However, with all of the eating and drinking going on over the past few weeks, you may be looking for a healthier, non-alcoholic way to celebrate today’s festive holiday. Pam Wenzel and our friends over at Spa Water sent us a recipe for Berry Zest Sangria Spa Water that includes some flavorful ingredients that will surely tantalize taste buds and make any holiday fiesta extra festive. After perusing the produce section of their local market, the Spa Water team decided that raspberries, blackberries, orange zest and fresh mint would be the star elements of this sassy drink. We all know that berries are always a great choice since they are so colorful and are loaded with antioxidants that keep our immune system in check (especially over the holidays). Orange zest provides a classic twist while fresh mint exerts a cool menthol sensation that is truly welcomed this time of year.
Whether you are planning a brunch, cocktail event or dinner party, this beverage will help make your get-together the Berry Zest! Ho, ho, ho!
- 1 -2 containers of fresh blackberries
- 1-2 containers of fresh raspberries
- Zest of two oranges
- Fresh mint sprigs
- Spring water
- Ice (Optional)
- Layer blackberries, raspberries and orange zest in a glass pitcher
- Fill pitcher with spring water
- Serve water in colorful wine glasses and accent each beverage with a fresh mint sprig
