Did you know that Allure magazine has a spa-loving cousin? Allure Spa celebrates its first birthday this month. If you’ve never come across an issue, Allure Spa isn’t a trade mag for those in the spa industry—it’s directed toward all spa customers, from tremulous spa newbies to can’t-get-enough spa vets.

Like Allure’s flagship publication, the magazine features info about the products used by spa technicians as well as descriptions of drool-worthy spa treatments provided by spas listed in its directories. It departs from the regular magazine by offering in depth articles about the dos and don’ts of destination spa travel and DIY spa treatments, including a sidebar with instructions about giving yourself a bikini wax. (No.) Just like the original Allure, the magazine is impeccably stylish and an entertaining read.

It’s distributed free to more than 200,000 spas nationwide—I’ll pick it up eagerly the next time I’m in a waiting room!
