Coming to a Small Screen Near You…

We’ve been pretty busy over the past two months – strutting the streets of America and shouting rooftop to rooftop to make sure that you were aware of the all the fabulous discount beauty and wellness treatments available during Spa Week for $50. (October 15-21… ring a bell? We hope so!)

And since discount spa treatments are (to put it lightly) pretty newsworthy, we’ve been seen on TV. A LOT. Take a look at some of our favorite segments from Fall 2012 Spa Week below:

KOMO Morning News Seattle featuring Red Door Spa
During this morning news segment the lovely ladies of Elizabeth Arden’s Red Door Spa in Bellevue, WA went into the KOMO studios to showcase their Spa Week Facial for viewers. Esthetician Amanda explains to reporter Peggy how easy the facials are to customize to each person’s unique needs, which is why for just $50, everyone needs to try one!

KTLA helped us showcase the real range of treatments available during Spa Week by having seven spas on the set throughout the week! In this segment, viewers can see the Traditional Thai Massage, which involves a lot of flexing and stretching, and the Lipomassage offered at Endermologie by Kasey.

CW 2 Morning Show Denver featuring Love Skincare Center, Elixir Mind Body Massage and LifeSpa – Centennial
The CW 2 in Denver helped get locals super excited about Spa Week by hosting three spas on the morning show. Gale of Love Skincare Center demonstrated her pumpkin facial with DiamondTome microdermabrasion treatment, which brightens and refines the skin.  Then Adrianne of LifeSpa showed the deep hydration paraffin treatment that infuses oil into the skin – prompting the reporter to say that the models hand felt like “a baby’s bottom.” Finally, Leslie from Elixir Mind Body Massage showed the soft cupping massage to loosen tissue and improve circulation – with products brought in from South Africa!

CBS 5 Local News Green Bay Road Trip Segment featuring Evensong Spa at Heidel House Resort and Spa
Reporters Millaine and Shelley hit the road to experience Spa Week in Green Lake – at Evensong Spa at the Heidel House Resort and Spa. As you can see in the segment, they were thrilled with the decision! The reporters enjoyed the hot towel massage and apple cinnamon indulgence pedicure. Thank you to Evensong for helping us in our mission to highlight the importance of being well and taking out time for yourself!

WNYW Fox 5 Evening News New York featuring The Green Spa & Wellness Center and Aqualia Spa
Spa Week’s very own Kelly was the star of this New York segment, and she explains the importance of taking the time to treat yourself – especially when it’s this affordable! The Green Spa & Wellness Center tempted viewers with their vegan pedicure and organic express facial, followed by Aqualia Spa showing customers enjoying facial treatments.

San Diego 6 News featuring Rainwater Spa, Evian Salon & Day Spa and Era Skin LoungeSan Diego 6 had three of Spa Week participants show off their services in studio to help viewers pick their favorite! Era Skin Lounge showed off their tropical back facial, Evian Salon & Day Spa enticed viewers with a detoxifying age defense facial and Rainwater Spa invited viewers to come try their deep tissue massage with mini hot stones.

Saving with 6 ABC Phildadelphia featuring La Vita Bella Salon & Day Spa
Saving with 6 ABC headed to La Vita Bella Salon & Day Spa to highlight Spa Week’s discounted prices. The spa even gave a glimpse of their Spa Week services: a collagen facial, hot stone massage and UV gel nails. Spa owner Paul says “even when the economy is tight, it pays to splurge on yourself a little.”

If watching these segments made you regret missing out on $50 treatments, or hungry for seconds, then you’re in luck! Check out which spas are extending Spa Week, and head in for a service this weekend!
