Party Time: Spa Week at The OUT

We kicked off Spa Week (starting today!) with a bang last week, thanks to some help from our lovely friends at The Spa at The OUT Hotel in Hell’s Kitchen. Media attendees got to sit back and relax for the evening at this chic new spa:

Until we witnessed The OUT for ourselves, we would have never believed that such a stunning, serene resort spa could exist within the hustle and bustle of the busiest city in the world. But oh, were we wrong. The OUT is swankier and more impressive than we even imagined. And our guests shared the same sentiments!

Guests came out for one reason: to get pampered. In true Spa Week fashion, The OUT helped us to raise the bar — instead of the typical chair or shoulder massage that would be offered at this type of event, they went all OUT offering full-on table massages with the legendary Savas, one of the city’s top rated massage therapists. Connecticut Pick: Dream Salon and Spa

Greenwich and Westport are two Connecticut towns that have no shortage of spas, salons, and shopping. A Saturday spend in either location is a blissed-out kind of girl’s day heaven. If you don’t live nearby, you can take a quick train ride and enjoy a day of shopping and spa treatments on the strip. If you can afford it, that is.

I took my own advice and stopped in for a sneak peek of the Kerastase Conditioning Treatment + Blowdry last weekend. After shampooing, the stylist applied a Kerastase Masque, massaged it into my hair, and left it to sit under a towel for 10 minutes of hydrating, strengthening marinating that my hair desperately needed. After she rinsed it off, she blow-dried my hair exactly the way I asked (and believe me, with my wedding just over a month away, I’m no slouch when it comes to instructions regarding the care of my hair).

Grand total? Just $50. The money I had leftover after my day at the spa was put to good use during the day of shopping that followed with my best friend.
