If you’re fond of 90s television dramas and have 10 million dollars lying around gathering in dust, you’ve come to the right place! Here’s what you should do with all that scratch–buy the beach house from Beverly Hills 90210 (the original series.)

The house, which is located near the shops in Manhattan Beach, California, is on the market for a cool $10.5 million. No big!

If you don’t have millions of dollars lying around to purchase beachfront property with, like I do, then you just need a million to purchase Cameron Frye’s boxy, modern house from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. The house is located in Lake Forest, Illinois, and costs a very reasonable $1.8 million. Which we all have lying around in our real estate piggybanks.
If you could buy any famous house, what would you buy?
Although it’s the only appropriate time of the year to whip out The Cheesiest Love Songs Ever mix (click to listen at your own risk)… it’s also a time to appreciate the perennial music that inspires us year round.
The Beatles have brought immeasurable amounts of love to the world with some of most meaningful lyrics, poignant harmonies, and greatest love songs of all time. But The Beatles’ message of love isn’t simply about loving another person; it’s about loving oneself and finding peace.
A new Beatles movement has taken the form of a yoga class called All You Need Is Love Yoga, where participants go on the emotional Yogic journey to the rhythm of The Beatles. Founder MacKenzie Pause (twitter) has combined her two great loves to create this class, and tells SWD the songs she uses most:
“I’d say some of the classics that make it in each class are Across The Universe, Let It Be, Strawberry Fields Forever, Something, And I Love Her, and Here Comes The Sun. The possibilities are endless as sitar driven songs like Love You To work well and compliment string heavy songs like Eleanor Rigby,” she shares. “Sometimes solo works like Harrison’s All Things Must Pass and Lennon’s Imagine make an appearance. Their catalogue gives so many opportunities from soothing melodies to relevant lyrical content to eastern influenced instruments and thoughts.”
Now… whether it’s for the love of yourself, your body, your life, or the love of your life… we want to know which Beatles song inspires you most.
Write your answers in the comments below. Contest ends when Valentine’s Day is over (but love never dies!). One winner will be chosen at random and announced here on Monday, February 15th.
2/15 UPDATE: The results are in! The die-hard Beatles fan and now-winner of SWD’s All You Need is Love Contest was chosen at random (see?):

Obviously we here at Spa Week endorse going to a real spa whenever possible. But real life, time, and money all conspire to keep us from heading to the spa as often as we’d like–so it’s nice to have spa-like touches in your bathroom at home! Check out these spa-inspired bathrooms featured on Apartment Therapy for spa touches to add to your own bathroom:
Try going monochromatic - varying tones on tones can help even small spaces open up and feel spacious.

Jars and bottles with chrome and silver touches look sleek and clean. Just make sure to pair them with fluffy towels and other cozy touches.

Rustic elements, like these raised bowl sinks, can feel very luxurious! To keep from feeling too “country”, choose 2 or 3 rustic elements and keep everything else simple.

Many people believe that in decorating, less is more. If, however, you are among the camp that believes more is more–you and Coco Chanel have something in common.
NPR recently featured shots of Coco Chanel’s Paris flat and it is gilded, golden, and glorious. If you ever wanted decorating inspiration for your palace or chateau, this might be the place to look.

One vase is better than two.

Think she got it at IKEA?
So what do you think, is Coco’s pad your style, or do you prefer to keep it simple?
