When it comes to the world’s biggest pop princess—or should we say “queen”—there’s not much miss Bey can’t do. So we weren’t exactly surprised to learn that Beyoncé is breaking out on a new business venture. The exact nature of that new venture, however, has us very excited!
According to WWW, Queen Bey has teamed up with Topshop to bring us a new brand of athleisure launching in fall 2015 (at the earliest). Now, if you stumbled over the word “athleisure,” don’t worry, we did too! Apparently, it consists of “clothing, footwear and accessories across dance, fitness and sports categories.” Sounds like street style sportswear to us!
But if you think Beyoncé just jumped on the celeb-collab bandwagon—think again. This mega music star doesn’t just add her name to activewear. She builds a brand all her own. “This is not a collaboration,” Topshop owner Sir Philip Green stressed to WWD. “This is about building a brand and building a business—a separate, proper business, with separate overhead and a separate office.”
Beyoncé’s new business doesn’t yet have a name, but as long as her pieces have us shaking it like the single ladies, we’ll be lining up to buy.
