Courtesy of Bliss WorldWe’ve tested plenty of spa cellulite treatments here at Spa Week, but this new at-home machine from Bliss is one of the coolest things we’ve come across. When we heard that popular in-spa cellulite treatments like endermologie and lipomassage were being packaged up to go, we figured this machine would be weak and not work well. But we were wrong! The suction power (which lifts and massages cellulite as you roll the machine over your body) is strong — in fact, you probably won’t even want to crank it up to the highest level. Here’s what you do: Slick the area you want to treat down with the included cellulite cream. Plug the machine in. Turn the suction to a level you’re comfortable with, and roll the machine over the area as it lifts and rolls over the skin (and, more importantly, massages the cellulite underneath). The suction is definitely strong enough, and the machine was definitely worth the time and money to use. It’s nice to see that a brand make a spa device for home use that isn’t a total flop. BUT! With great power comes great responsibility, and you must read the directions before using the Lean Machine™ to avoid bruising, which can happen if your skin isn’t slicked-down with moisturizer (like the included Fatgirlslim® cellulite cream) before you use it. After all, there is suctioned involved, as that’s what creates a deep vaccuum-style massage to help smooth out cellulite. You can buy this machine alone for $145, or pay $195 for an in-spa treatment and demo, after which you get to take your machine home — a great option for those who’ve never had a cellulite treatment before.
