How to Wear Winter White

We think it’s about time that everyone let’s go of the “No white after Labor Day” rule. After all, rules were made for breaking, right?

Winter white has been seen on the runways of fashion’s elite, including J. Mendel, Alexander McQueen and Derek Lam. The designers layered shades of cream, ivory and oyster to create luscious looks perfect for wintertime.

The key to trying this trend is mixing fabrics and textures to create a dimensional look. Think (fake) furs mixed or lace and crisp, tailored pants. Here are some of our favorite winter white pieces:

Faux Fur Vest

A fur vest is both pretty and practical – it looks fierce and keeps you warm. Try lighter layers for fall and a chunky sweater when the winter chill starts setting in.

Lace Shell

This is a great staple piece and can be worn to work or dressed up with jewels for a sophisticated night-time ensemble.

Laser Cut Bag

We love the hint of gold that peaks through this laser cut bag. The texture makes it work for any season.

Wool Pants

You would never know these immaculately tailored pants were made of wool! The fabric is a great base for layering, allowing you to mix in more elaborate pieces up top.

Knit Scarf

This scarf oozes casual comfort. This knit can be paired with just about anything, and once you wrap up in it we bet you’ll be wearing it with every outfit in your wardrobe!
