We’ll admit it — we don’t know everything that goes on behind the scenes of America’s favorite reality series. But one thing that is made very clear week to week: These stars are working hard to impress fans with their dancing skills. They are pushed to the physical limit, scolded by their professional dance partners and endure hours upon hours a day of practice to impress judges and fans alike in hopes of going home with the Mirrorball trophy when all is said and done.
Spa Week feels like the perfect solution for these poor tired souls who spent the past three weeks painstakingly learning cha-cha-chas and fox trots step-by-step to perform for adoring fans in Hollywood. Because this is the All-Star Season, these celebs knew what they were in for when they signed up – all having been successful on the show in years past. What made this premiere completely different from previous seasons: On night one everyone brought their game face and the dances were already top notch. Bravo! We’d like to recommend some Spa Week services to treat our favorite returnees:
Kirstie Alley

The actress who famously shed 100 pounds on her original season is back for more – this year she wants to get to a size 0! Big ambitions, but we love you at any size, Kirstie! Last night Kirstie’s fox trot with partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy only earned the duo a 19 – but she was still able to steal (seal!) the show with a kiss – right on host Tom Bergeron! To help Kirstie achieve her weight loss goals, we’d offer her a slimming wrap to tighten her skin and give her extra confidence in the show’s elaborate costumes.

Bristol Palin

This young mama is a busy bee! A novelist, reality star, mother, and now on Dancing with the Stars again. Last night Bristol and partner Mark Ballas’ cha-cha was well received by the judges, who named her most improved! This shy girl was able to break out of her shell and earn a 19.5. After all that booty shaking action we bet her body is pretty exhausted – she could use a relaxing spa treatment for sure.

Emmitt Smith

Emmitt Smith is one of the most decorated players in the history of the NFL, and the Season 3 champ of Dancing with the Stars – but will he be able to pull out all the stops to win the all-star season? This former Cowboy is back with partner Cheryl Burke, and the pair cha-cha’d their way straight to the top of the leaderboard earning a 24.5, the night’s highest score! Emmitt and Cheryl should relax their tired muscles with a massage, so they’re prepared to be on top of their game again next week!
Try: Therapeutic Full Body Massage at Halcyon Days Salon and Spa at Neiman Marcus NorthPark in Dallas, TX (Emmitt’s former NFL stomping grounds!)
Shawn Johnson

Shawn cemented her role as America’s sweetheart in Beijing in 2008, and it was no surprise to us that this charming Olympic medal-winning gymnast was a rock star on the dance floor, too, winning the competition in Season 8. Last night Shawn danced the fox trot with partner Derek Hough, earning a 22, one of the top scores for the night. We also know that Shawn is no stranger to the spa — She’s been known to say that it’s one of the ways she treats herself after events! We’re sure she’d enjoy a pampering spa manicure and pedicure after all that hard work on the dance floor!
Try: French Vanilla Manicure and Essential Pedicure at Andrew Michaels Salon and Spa in Salem, MA
Gilles Marini

The most memorable performance of the night probably came from fan favorite Gilles Marini. Gilles and partner Peta Murgatroyd danced a poetic fox trot in an homage to old Hollywood, complete with sophisticated costumes and a glamorous red lip from Peta. Gilles and Peta earned praise from the judges and the second highest score of the night, three eights rounding out to a 24. We think that this French-American actor deserves a toast for a job well done – so a champagne-infused spa treatment will do the trick!
