Many of us are trying to get our body back, whether it’s the body we had pre-baby, pre-college or in a previous life. When fad diets fail and diet and exercise alone don’t get you back into that box of taunting “skinny” clothes, where can you turn? Our seriously hot mom Gina Pomponio, founding editor of Mommy Posh, took some advice from her Zumba instructor and gave her body got a clean sweep. Find out how Gina got her body back.

This week, I want to sound off on the concept of getting your body back after baby. I know! I know! You have been trying for some time now, with little to no results! What do you see on the cover of every glossy magazine after a celebrity has given birth? Them in a two piece itty-bitty bikini with them quoted saying “I lost 50 pounds in just 2 days”…seriously?! As much as we like to think we are celebrities in our own right, I don’t know about you, but I don’t have the access or luxury of having 10 nannies, a private chef or a live in fitness trainer. So first and foremost, we must not compare ourselves to them or to anyone else, it’ll just drive us insane.
I am no different from the next mom that has been trying to lose weight after baby. Trying to keep up with my toddler son while being able to eat a well balance meal seemed almost impossible. So one day I chatted it up with my Zumba instructor and told her how jealous I was of her energy and wanted to know how and what she did. What she told me next had changed my life. She said that she was a single mom of four (all under the age of 15) and will be celebrating her 42nd birthday this year. What???!! I’m still in my 30s with only one kid to run after. Now what’s my excuse again? Ok, now I needed answers. In just one word she had said Isagenix.
To all you readers, I know you are probably thinking that I am introducing you to another fad diet program, but you’re wrong. Listen, if you could find a product that completely transforms your health and wellness, helps you with weight loss, sustains your energy and increases mental clarity throughout the day, wouldn’t you want to give it a try? YES! YES! YES!
So I got started on the Isagenix 9-Day Deep Cleansing and Fat Burning System. When I heard the word cleanse all I could think about were those “celebrity cleanses.” But my Isagenix coach/Zumba instructor ensured me that this was not like your typical cleanse or even considered to be a “diet”…it was a whole body makeover. It’s a cleanse that is safe and effective to rid your body of toxins and giving it all the nutrients it needs.
The Isagenix 9-Day Deep Cleansing and Fat Burning System includes the following products:
• 2 Cleanse for Life: A complete nutritional body cleanse that aids the body’s natural ability to remove impurities
• Isalean Shake Canister: A delicious, creamy meal replacement
• Isagenix Snacks: High quality whey protein and energy-boosting snacks
• Natural Accelerator: Carefully selected thermogenic ingredients that naturally enhance your body’s fat burning ability and give you energy
So after the 9 day cleanse I feel really great, I had more energy and my skin had that post-workout glow, but most importantly it taught me healthy snacking and how to create a well balanced, healthy meal. During the 9 days I lost 10 lbs. I was shocked! Needless to say I was even more motivated. I signed up for more products (losing even more weight, I had lost a total of 15 lbs!) and am now an Isagenix consultant.
The moment of truth was when I had tried on a dress that I knew was 2 sizes too small. I swear, it was as if the heavens opened up, the clouds parted and I heard angels sing! IT FIT! Not even an inhale or Spanx necessary! Momma was back to her original size!
So there you have it! If you’ve seen me around town and wondered where I got that glow…blame it on Isagenix! So moms, take good care of yourselves…’cause if you don’t who will?
