Guest Post by Candy Silvasy, Spa Expert and CEO of Art of the Spa
Drama queens unite! Women in Victorian times wore corsets, restricting blood flow causing “faint” and chic homes had a fainting couch at the top of stairs. There were even fainting rooms, where these one armed couches (so one could fall into it) were featured.
I could have used one of those, when I spotted this cool, luxe version of a fainting sofa from Ligne Roset. Nearly passing out at its gorgeousness, the ice blue tufted upholstery and clean lines whisper come hither ice princess. Reminds me of the winter wonderland soon to come.
Ideas to Savor it’s Spaliciousness:
- Window Seat – Placed under your favorite window, a reading or relaxing spot is created.
- Foyer Fixture – Lovely seat to put your shoes on and to take them off.
- Boudoir Bench – At the foot of your bed, let it cradle spare blankets, your robe or cast off clothes.
