Little Luxury Report: Sally Hansen Double Duty

2239_1The Little Luxury: Sally Hansen Double Duty Strengthening Base & Top Coat

What is Double Duty:  Purports to save you time and cash by playing double agent. Long-lasting nail polish requires a good top coat and base coat. Double Duty serves as 2-in-1!

Does it do what it says it’ll do? Yes, with a caveat. When I do wear nail polish, I often take it off after 3 days, so I’ve never given it a longer-term test. But during those three days, the polish stays in good shape–much better than it would with no base or topcoat or just topcoat alone.

The deal on the base? It keeps nails from yellowing or drying out.

The deal on the top? If you like shiny, this is for you! It definitely hypes up the shine.

What about drying speed? Neither fish nor fowl. It’s not a super quick dry, but it also doesn’t take so long glaciers melt while you’re waiting.

Be cautious:   My bottle came without bristles on the brush handle–yes! Bizarre, I know. I’m substituting the brush from a different bottle, but before you buy one make all the pieces are there.

Where can I get it and for how much? Any drugstore or drugstore-like online store! At Walgreen’s, it’s around $5. The price combined with its surprisingly good performance gets 6 stones from me!
