I have an ongoing battle between cardio and strength training. More and more studies suggest that strength training is more effective for toning and weight loss. I try to do both at the gym just so all of my bases are covered.
Then I came across this new aerobic machine that promises to give you a workout that encompasses both cardio and weight training. The Helix is different than your average treadmill, elliptical and stair climber because it works your inner and outer thighs, instead of just the front and back of your legs. The figure 8 motion helps you reach more target areas, while you get your heart rate up with cardio.
I watched the video and this machine looks a little confusing at first, but I think ultimately once I got in the groove I would seriously feel the burn.
I’ve seen some crazy cardio machines, but I think the Helix takes the flourless, sugar-free cake.
